For Us: Collective Development

Thank you to everyone that has been a loyal subscriber. Perky has been moving around a lot and working with the community to rebuild and have ownership. Perky is currently working with Leimert Park around group economics in an effort to keep the block owned by the natives to the area.

May 27th Leimert Park hosted the 2nd annual Memorial Day: MindfulNess Festival. The Festival was based around H.H.E.E.A.L. (History, Health, Education, Economics, Arts, and Leadership). The theme was met through patronage to local vendors and businesses, workshops, art expressions, and the participation of the community.

Perky was on the panel for the Economic Empowerment workshop and wants to share the presentation that was prepared for the event. The topic of the presentation is collective development. In order to rebuild the community and if you do not have the resources to invest alone is to collective gather. Through small adjustments and budgeting we can learn how to maintain ourselves and build up together.
